Turkish project team members İsmail Seçer, Sümeyye Ulaş, Eda Tatlı, Fatmanur Çimen, Burcu Bülbül and Beyzanur Tosunoğlu has recently published an article about school attendance problems in children with subthreshold autism.
This study explores the impact of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) on children with subthreshold Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) symptoms. PCIT improved adaptive and social skills, reduced school refusal and alleviated parental stress. The authors suggest further research through randomized controlled trials to assess PCIT's effectiveness and sustainability for children with subthreshold ASD symptoms and their families.
